Itinerary
Assistance at the airport / railway station on arrival and drive to Gangtok.
Gangtok: At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid 19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travellers delight.

Breakfast at the hotel and full day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters. Also visit New Baba Mandir.

Breakfast at the hotel and check out from the hotel. Later we drive to Lachung, situated at a height of 8610 feet. It is a long drive that takes 6 - 7 hours to reach. It’s a beautiful drive and we pass through Phodong, Mangan, Singik Chungthang & Maltim. En route you can stop for Lunch (direct payment basis). On arrival check in at hotel and relax. Later in evening have Dinner at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel and later proceed for a visit to Yumthang Valley, famous for a variety of blooming Rhododendrons. Situated at a height of 11800 feet, Yumthang is the grazing ground of yaks in summer and playground of yetis in winter. After enjoying in this beautiful valley, we start our journey for Gangtok. On arrival check in at hotel and relax.

Breakfast at the hotel and later proceed for sightseeing tour in Gangtok visiting Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), Cottage Industry (closed on Sunday) and Bakthang Falls.
After the tour, proceed for further drive to Darjeeling.
Darjeeling: Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2134m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising higher than all the others. Often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills”, it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow gauge railway track. Surrounded by World Famous Tea Gardens and snow capped mountains, Darjeeling remains one of the most exotic destinations. Graeme Westlake in his book ‘An introduction to hill stations on India’ refers to Darjeeling as having “A view Scarcely Unrivalled on Earth”.

Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden. It is truly a majestic sight and Ghoom Monastery which is oldest Monastery in the area which was built in 1875 and one can see the image of Mythey Buddha 15ft. height on the way back from Tiger Hill.
Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate (from outside), Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda.

Additional Information
- If cancellation is made any time not less than 45 days prior to departure, Rs. 5,000/- (per person) shall be deducted.
- If cancellation is made 45 to 30 days prior to departure, 50% of the tour cost shall be deducted.
- If cancellation is made 30 to 15 days prior to departure, 75% of the tour cost shall be deducted.
- If cancellation is made within 15 days prior to departure, 100% of the tour cost shall be deducted.
- Per person cost is calculated on the basis of Minimum 02 adults traveling together and sharing one double room.
- Extra adult is the 3rd person who shares the same double room and is provided with an extra bed or roll away mattress.
- Mostly the hotels allow 03 adults in one double room with an extra bed or 02 adults and 02 children below 12 years of age with one extra bed.
- All the guests (husband, wife & adult children) are requested to carry their photo identity proof in original & a photocopy to be produced & handed over at the time of Check in at the Hotel or Resort. This is mandatory.
